Much like John's father, Bjorn Tollefsen, here the journey began for thousands of Norwegians to the United States. The Amerikalinjen (America-lynn-yen) was once the Norwegian America Line’s venerable headquarters and has now been renovated into a luxury boutique hotel, while still maintaining its historical character through design elements and stories that pay homage to its past as a shipping company headquarters.

The Amerikalinjen has it all, a restaurant, coffee shop, gym, sauna/spa, jazz club (The Gustav), and the gorgeous Pier 42 bar. With the exception of the fjord cruise, the entirety of our welcome party and wedding will be held here.
